Part-3-Athon Day 1: Hellraiser 3: Hell on Earth
Welcome to my Part-3-athon movie marathon, where every day during the month of October I will be posting a video review of a different THIRD entry in a horror/sci-fi series for which I have NEVER seen parts 1 and 2.
This is probably the best review of Hellraiser 3 ever. First of all, I really like Clive Barker's books ... but man this movie sucks. I actually think it's more of the mostly terrible acting that drags it down. But, yeah this review was awesome
And you should recommend some Clive Barker books. I've only read two: Coldheart Canyon and the Damnation Game. It think that's what they were called. Coldheart Canyon was pretty cool, but Damnation Game was bad.
The original hellraiser is one of the best terrible horror films ever. It's objectively crap, but I enjoy it anyway. None of the sequels are worth watching, but I've seen six of them because my ex girlfriend loved them. I actually read Hellbound Heart back in high school, and I liked it pretty well. I think the movies probably should have just stuck to the source material instead of going where the franchise went, but as far as crappy films go, they are at least watchable. Sort of.
