Bondathon Part 15: For Your Eyes Only

Part 15 of my Bondathon review marathon: For Your Eyes Only, the twelfth film in the officially produced EON Productions series and the 14th Bond film over all. This is one of the great ones, and my personal favorite featuring Roger Moore.

Dear god--I guess my love for this film allowed me to block out the fact that that teaser belonged to For Your Eyes Only. I hate that death scene so, so much. I mean, this guy killed Bond's wife. He's the iconic villain of the series, and they made his dispatching into a joke. I don't know what they were thinking.

I actually sort of like that Roger Moore was getting a little older here. Along with the renewed interest by the producers in making a serious film instead of a campy one, Moore, himself, just lends the movie some added maturity.

I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but I never realized that was Julian Glover in Empire Strikes Back.

Good review. I don't know if I've said this, but the quality of your video reviews has gotten really good with your use of movie clips and such. I'm impressed, since I know jack shit about video editing.
