Zombiethon Day 25: Planet Terror

Haven't seen this one, but I think you know I'm not a huge fan of Robert Rodriguez. I liked Sin City. That's about it. He just makes movies for people who aren't me, I guess.

I am also not a huge fan, but for some reason I've seen all of his movies, many of them in the theater.

HE MAKES MOVIES FOR ME!!!!!!

I loved this, you know I did. And I'll agree that the characters aren't great (although the cast pretty much rules) but there is heart in this. Screw the (implied) damage to the film or even the zombies, this whole thing felt like a better, amped-up version of Halloween 3, season of the witch, which yes, sucked, but the hospital scenes especially (with their scores) were right on.

Plus JEFF FAHEY? aces.

It's a funny horror with a srange humor (like pulp fiction). it's one of my favorites!

ps: I learned the best BBQ recipe of all time from this movie
