This one is screaming for a remake. One that is without Ryan Reynolds. Maybe a John Stewart version would be cool, as long as Will Smith doesn't play him. Maybe Common would be good, not sure about his range though.
Martin Campbell based the film's action on knife fights in a phone booth: "quick and fast and dirty and big grand sweeping movements."
