Sarah Polley's character, Ana, was a great choice to carry the point of view for the audience. At the beginning of the film, the viewer experienced Ana's reality shifting with the zombie takeover. If I remember correctly, once she meets the group, the point of view drifts to an omniscient watcher, or bounces between different characters.
Not gonna lie--I like this movie a lot. I guess I'm not the connoisseur of zombie films that you are, though. I don't watch them for the social commentary.
