Bondathon Part 17: Never Say Never Again
Part 17 of my Bondathon review marathon: Never Say Never Again, Sean Connery's return to the series and his last film appearance as James Bond. This was the last unofficial James Bond, and the 16th Bond film over all. Not a classic, but historically significant and well worth checking out.
Yeah, I've always liked this movie. I think it's pretty good and definitely holds up well despite any dated content. Better than Octopussy, in my opinion, but I guess it depends upon why you're watching these films.
Blofeld's cat was the true star of this movie, LOL. Seriously, she was probably featured more here than in any individual EON Bond film and completely adorable, kneading Blofeld and being the face the United Nations got to see on the camera during the ransom demand. And then the frightening glare before the nuclear explosion footage!

I like both films, but Irvin Kershner is probably a better director than the other guy. Matter of fact, I'm gonna go watch Robocop 2.
I have actually never seen this. I wasn't even aware that Connery came back after Moore?? I need to watch this shit.
